How long have you been working for eMop?<\/h3>\n

Marta Lytovchuk: \u201cI have been working for eMop for almost 1 year now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Filipe Pombinho: \u201cFor five months.\u201d<\/p>\n

Have you worked as a cleaner before joining eMop? If yes, was it for another company or were you self-employed?<\/h3>\n

MD: \u201cYes, I have. I worked in a 4 star hotel for 2 years.\u201d<\/p>\n

ML: \u201cI\u2019ve worked as a self-employed cleaner, before joining eMop here in London, for about 6 months.\u201d<\/p>\n

FP: \u201cYes, for another company in my country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Are you a native Londoner? If not, where are you from?<\/h3>\n

MD: \u201cNo, I\u2019m not a native Londoner, I am from Bulgaria\u201d<\/p>\n

ML: \u201cNo, I\u2019m from Ukraine.\u201d<\/p>\n

FP: \u201cNo, I’m from Portugal.\u201d<\/p>\n

What\u2019s it like to work as a cleaner in London?<\/h3>\n

MD: \u201cI like my job because it enables me to travel a lot. I see a lot of new things and places, and I get to meet new people all the time. The pay is also very good.\u201d<\/p>\n

ML: \u201cIt\u2019s not an easy job. Most of the time it\u2019s difficult and you get really tired by the end of the day. But it\u2019s good, because you get to rely on yourself, on your skills and insurance.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re good at your job, you get more orders and more tips from clients, and therefore you always work and the get money.<\/p>\n

This job is built on trust and it requires a lot of responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n

FP: \u201cI liked it very much. Most of my customers are every approachable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Have you cleaned in another city? And if yes, how does that experience compare to London?<\/h3>\n

MD: \u201cNo, I haven\u2019t worked as a cleaner before arriving in London.\u201d<\/p>\n

ML: \u201cNo, I have not cleaned in another city.\u201d<\/p>\n

FP: \u201cYes! In my country I didn\u2019t have the option to pickup a cleaning order from an app. I only went to where the company told me to go.<\/p>\n

I prefer eMop\u2019s system, where you have a choice to take an order or refuse.\u201d<\/p>\n

Do you feel safe when you go to clean a client\u2019s home in London?<\/h3>\n

MD: \u201cYes, I feel safe.\u201d<\/p>\n

ML: \u201cYes, I feel safe in clients\u2019 homes in London.\u201d<\/p>\n

FP: \u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Have there been any peculiar incidents that happened whilst you were cleaning someone\u2019s house?<\/h3>\n

MD: \u201cNo!\u201d<\/p>\n

ML: \u201cSome funny story happened to me… After I cleaned a client\u2019s home, when I was ready to leave, I closed the door and then realised that I forgot my purse with my money and travel card inside (the client wasn\u2019t at home).<\/p>\n

But luckily I didn\u2019t leave the phone inside. So I texted the client and he arranged with his estate agency, which was based locally, to give me the extra key they held.\u201d<\/p>\n
