Here we give you some creative reuse and recycle\u202fideas for plastic bottles (one in each<a href=\"https:\/\/www.emop.co.uk\/blog\/zero-waste-lifestyle-reuse-and-recycle-ideas-of-plastic-bottles\/\"> \u201czero waste\u201d post<\/a>).<\/p>\n<h3>Making pencil cases from plastic bottles<\/h3>\n<p>You need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 water bottles (of\u202fthe same size and brand)<\/li>\n<li>1 zipper (long enough to fit around the circumference of your bottle)<\/li>\n<li>hot\u202fglue<\/li>\n<li>heavy\u202fduty scissors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Begin by cutting the\u202flid section off from each of your bottles. Decide how long you want your case to be and cut down your bottles to\u202fan appropriate size.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure that your zipper fits around the bottle, with a slight overlap at one end. If your zipper is too long, cut some of the zipper length from the two free ends.<\/p>\n<p>If you have enough of an overlap, glue the ends as much as necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Now, begin gluing one side of the zipper down to the inside of the bottle, with the correct side of the zipper facing outward.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure the zipper track is a little away from the bottle, so that the zipper pull can function\u202ffreely.<\/p>\n<p>Once you reach the end, overlap the ends of the zipper fabric onto the other end of the zipper, and glue in place.<\/p>\n<p>Do the same for the other side of\u202fthe zipper.<\/p>\n<p>Pop in\u202fyour pens and pencils and Hey Presto!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You drink milk, water and juice, but where do all your plastic bottles go? \u202fThrowing them away is not an eco-friendly thing to do, as it has damaging consequences for the environment.
